Kate Bernheimer's fairy tale, The Girl in the Castle inside the Museum and A Dignity of Dragons: Collective Nouns for Magical Beasts by Jacqueline K. Ogburn. As usual they are both firmly in the fantasy genre but after that it's hard to narrow down. Mistwood reads more like a fairy tale and The Lost Gate explains why we have fairy tale creatures like trolls and fairies and the like. Both highly enjoyable reads, recommended!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5753819304800633444.post-78281682123714189562011-03-30T10:45:58.128-07:002011-03-30T10:45:58.128-07:00my first posted review is about A Tale Dark & ...my first posted review is about A Tale Dark & Grimm by Adam Gidwitz and is considered middle-grade fiction. I think many adults will find this one amusing as well. A friendly attempt to return Grimm's tales to form.

~L (omphaloskepsis)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
